Russia's Krasnoyarsk Krai expresses interest in developing cooperation with the regions of Uzbekistan

KRASNOYARSK, March 13. /Dunyo IA/. Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Aslam Akbarov, met with the First Deputy Governor of Russia's Krasnoyarsk Krai, Sergey Ponomarenko, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, Sergey Ponomarenko expressed gratitude to the Consulate General for its assistance in strengthening bilateral ties between the Krasnoyarsk Krai and Uzbekistan, including support for the Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of Uzbeks in Krasnoyarsk.
Special emphasis was placed on the outcomes of the official delegation and business mission from the Krasnoyarsk Krai to Uzbekistan in November 2025. This included the presentations held and the agreements reached regarding cooperation with the Sirdaryo, Fergana and Surkhandaryo regions.
The parties specifically discussed issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the participation of the “Kirgullari” dance ensemble from the Fergana region in the “Kovun Sayli” (Melon Festival) in July 2026, which will feature a presentation of Uzbekistan's tourism and cultural potential.
