During negotiations in Lahore, delegation of the Tashkent region discusses specific projects to expand exports to Pakistan and other countries

LAHORE, March 13. /Dunyo IA/.   As part of his working visit to Pakistan, Khokim (Governor) of the Tashkent region, Zoyir Mirzaev, met with Ali Alam Qamar, head of the company “Zarea” in Lahore, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, parties discussed the investment climate created for foreign investors in the Tashkent region, including tax and customs incentives, industrial zones and opportunities for implementing joint projects. Current projects involving foreign investors and their results were also reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to attracting investment through the “Zarea” platform, expanding the export of Uzbek products to new foreign markets and developing joint e-commerce projects. Ali Alam Qamar elaborated on the company's operations, noting that “Zarea” is a modern electronic platform similar to global marketplaces like “Alibaba Group” and “Amazon”.

Through the platform, textiles, agricultural products, construction materials, and other goods are exported to Pakistan's domestic market, as well as to the Gulf countries and the Middle East. The company actively integrates manufacturers from various countries onto a single digital marketplace.

“We are interested in collaborating with the Uzbek market, especially with major retail chains and manufacturers. Furthermore, we can supply agricultural products such as potatoes, rice, corn and citrus fruits to the Tashkent region at competitive prices”, noted Ali Alam Qamar.

Khokim Zoyir Mirzaev emphasized the interest in cooperation to bring Uzbek products, including grapes and dried fruits, to Middle Eastern markets. He also supported the company's participation in exporting ready-made textile products manufactured for global brands.

The parties discussed the construction of modern warehouses and logistics centers, as well as the potential for supplying Uzbek agricultural machinery to the Pakistani market and the prospect of joint machinery production in Pakistan.

Following the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Tashkent region and “Zarea” to develop a mutually beneficial partnership, expand trade and economic ties and implement joint investment projects.
