SHANGHAI, March 19. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai with Uzbek youth studying at the city's universities, as well as with compatriots working in the region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Participants were informed that Uzbekistan's state policy pays special attention to supporting youth, creating opportunities for education, uncovering talents and realizing their potential. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to comply with the laws of the host country, prevent the spread of destructive ideas promoted by religious extremist and terrorist organizations on social media and refrain from participating in such activities.

At the end of the meeting, compatriots received answers to their questions. Based on the students' suggestions, it was decided to organize joint events, including national holidays, thematic roundtables, as well as intellectual and sports competitions.

Furthermore, participants were reminded of the importance of timely temporary consular registration as a key tool for protecting citizens' rights abroad, as well as the need to comply with the host country's visa and migration rules and the requirements of educational institutions.
