Brazil Accredits New Ambassador to Uzbekistan

ТASHKENT, December 9. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, officially received the newly accredited Brazilian Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos, with residence in Moscow, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
“Received the credentials from H.E. Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos, newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Uzbekistan. - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Discussed the growing dynamics of bilateral relations and explored many untapped opportunities that our countries can successfully seize together, despite the geographical distance.
Wish Mr. Ambassador every success and productive tenure in our country”.
The newly appointed Brazilian Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos, is 57 years old. A career diplomat, he has held senior positions in Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at Brazilian diplomatic missions abroad since 1995.
Ambassador Rodrigues dos Santos succeeds H.E. Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares, who served as Brazil’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2022 to 2025.
