UAE introduces a visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan

 ABU DHABI, January 16. /«Dunyo» IA/. Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a protocol on mutual exemption from entry visa requirements, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

According to the document, citizens of Uzbekistan are exempt from visa requirements for the period of stay in the UAE - no more than 30 days.

The document was signed by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov and the Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khalid Abdullah Belhoul.

The document will officially come into force on February 16, 2024.

The signed document will increase the number of countries that citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to visit without a visa to 29, as a result of which Uzbekistan will take 71st place in the world ranking of passport strength "Passport Index".

Let us recall that during 2023, 119,454 citizens of Uzbekistan visited the UAE and spent more than $9.2 million to obtain an entry visa.
