Following the results of the Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian Countries, held in Dushanbe on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, another important practical step was taken to ensure the interests of the region’s youth.
That is, an Agreement was signed on the general directions of youth policy between Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The forum participants proposed ways to increase the effectiveness of mechanisms and opportunities for protecting the rights of youth.
During the discussions, the main problems faced by young people in fully realizing their rights were discussed.
Specific recommendations were put forward for the policies of all countries to develop ways and means of improving the legal, administrative and political framework for the integration of youth rights.
It was emphasized that such a practical approach would make it possible to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
On this basis, the final document of the international forum was developed and discussed - the Central Asian Declaration on the Rights of Youth.
Participants expressed confidence that this important document, which embodied the main results and practical recommendations of the forum, will in the future serve as a solid basis for new efforts and advanced initiatives in the field of youth rights.
