Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Trade Turnover surpassed $1.2 Billion in 2025

BISHKEK, July 28. /Dunyo IA/. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan surpassed $1.2 billion in 2025 and the two countries intend to increase this figure to $2 billion in the near term, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Kyrgyz National News Agency “Kabar”, statement was made by Ravshanbek Sabirov, Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the opening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Business Forum in Bishkek today.
He noted that Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan had set the goal of increasing bilateral trade to $2 billion in the near future.
“I am confident that we will achieve this goal much sooner if we establish joint manufacturing facilities, expand industrial cooperation and jointly enter third-country markets. Today, Uzbekistan is one of Kyrgyzstan’s key strategic partners in the investment sphere”, Ravshanbek Sabirov said.
As reported by the Kyrgyz National News Agency “Kabar”, Business Forum is being held in Bishkek on the eve of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Forum has brought together representatives of key sectors of the economy, including mining, construction, agriculture, the food industry, pharmaceuticals, the textile industry and hydropower.
Program also includes B2B meetings, during which entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will hold substantive discussions on the direct supply of goods and the establishment of joint ventures.
It should be recalled that on July 28–29t, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov and Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Soltoboev are visiting key sections of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway under construction in the Kyrgyz Republic to review the progress of the project on site.
