Tashkent welcomes Vegan Cuisine Enthusiasts

TASHKENT, July 28. /Dunyo IA/. An international vegan cuisine festival will be held in Tashkent on July 30th, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Festival will be organised by the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and Embassy of India.

Event will bring together representatives of the diplomatic community, tourism companies, the restaurant industry, the wellness sector and relevant organizations. One of the key speakers will be Dr Nikhila, Director of Lifestyle & Wellness, an expert in healthy living and nutrition and a PhD holder in Ayurveda. The festival program will also include an expert discussion, professional networking opportunities, and a presentation of a signature vegan menu prepared by Indian and Uzbek chefs.

It should be noted that vegan nutrition is a strict plant-based diet that completely excludes meat, fish, eggs, milk and honey. The diet is based exclusively on products of plant origin.

According to experts, development of gastronomic and wellness tourism is one of the promising areas for diversifying Uzbekistan’s tourism offering. An increasing number of travellers, when choosing a destination, are paying attention not only to cultural heritage, but also to the quality of local cuisine, opportunities for a healthy lifestyle, and modern leisure formats. In this context, the development of vegan and vegetarian cuisine contributes to the creation of new tourism products and enhances the country’s appeal to various categories of travellers.
