Uzbekistan and UAE plan to expand tourism and economic cooperation

ABU DHABI, June 5. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shodiev, met with the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing trade, economic and tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The Emirati side highly praised the reforms and achievements made in Uzbekistan, noting that they are following the country's positive transformations with great interest.
During the talks, the Minister announced the participation of ministry representatives in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. According to him, the forum serves as an important platform for supporting business in Central Asia and enhancing the region's investment attractiveness.
The sides also highlighted the significant role of the tourism industry in developing bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing the number of flights between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
Following the meeting, an agreement was also reached to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
