“Egemen Qazaqstan”: Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan recognized as a unique megaproject of global significance

ASTANA, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. Leading Kazakh newspaper “Egemen Qazaqstan” has detailed the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, characterizing it as a large-scale project that has received high praise from the international community, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that the initiative was implemented at the proposal of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with the participation of more than 2,000 scientists from various countries. The center integrates a museum, research infrastructure, a modern library, archives and digital technologies, forming a comprehensive platform for studying the history of Central Asian civilizations.

Newspaper emphasizes that the establishment of such a center in Uzbekistan is only natural, as the region has for millennia served as a crossroads for trade routes, cultures, religions and scientific schools.

The article provides assessments from world leaders. In particular, UN Secretary-General António Guterres noted the significance of the chosen direction of development, while the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, described the center as a unique scientific, tourist and ethno-cultural project.

Special attention is paid to the role of the center in preserving cultural heritage. It is reported that approximately two thousand rare artifacts have been returned to the country, including manuscripts by Ibn Sina, the works of Al-Biruni and masterpieces from the Temurid era.

According to experts, the project goes beyond being just an infrastructure facility and is seen as a response to modern global challenges, contributing to the strengthening of humanistic values and international dialogue.

Newspaper notes that the center forms a new type of cultural and scientific institution, where historical knowledge is integrated with modern technologies and serves as a foundation for global interaction.
