MADRID, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. International Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers “FIJET España” has published an article titled “Uzbekistan strengthens its position as a safe and open tourist destination”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
It notes that by the end of 2025, Uzbekistan has demonstrated steady and dynamic growth in the tourism industry. The authors emphasize that nearly 12 million foreign tourists visited the country, a 16% increase compared to the previous year, while the export of tourism services exceeded USD 4.8 billion, confirming the growing international interest in the destination.
It is emphasized that these results were made possible thanks to consistent reforms in the tourism sector. The authors note that the country is actively developing its infrastructure, improving transport accessibility, implementing digital services and creating favourable conditions for travellers, including the development of tourism clusters and the expansion of international cooperation.
Authors draw particular attention to the liberalization of the visa regime. It is highlighted that Uzbekistan has implemented simplified entry conditions: a visa-free regime is in effect for citizens of 94 countries, electronic visas are available for 52 states and a five-day transit visa-free regime has been introduced for 45 countries.
Publication also notes that against the backdrop of global geopolitical instability, the safety factor is gaining particular significance. In this context, Uzbekistan is characterized as a stable, safe and hospitable state, where traditions of tolerance and respect are an integral part of the national culture.
“The high level of safety in the country is confirmed by international rankings. Uzbekistan holds leading positions in global indices, including the International SOS Risk Map, Numbeo Safety Index and others, which builds a steady image of the country as a reliable and comfortable tourist destination”," - concludes “FIJET España”.
