BEIJING, March 31. /Dunyo IA/. An article dedicated to the rapid development of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential has been published in the pages of the influential Chinese travel magazine “Target”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Article emphasizes that based on the 2025 results, Uzbekistan is showing steady and dynamic industry growth, solidifying its status as one of the most promising destinations in the region.
According to the data provided, Uzbekistan was visited by nearly 12 million foreign tourists, a 16% increase over the previous year. Meanwhile, tourism service exports exceeded $4.8 billion. Such impressive results were made possible by consistent reforms aimed at modernizing infrastructure, improving transport accessibility and the large-scale digitalization of services.
Publication pays special attention to the republic's openness. Today, Uzbekistan operates a simplified entry procedure: a visa-free regime has been established for citizens of 94 countries, an e-visa has been introduced for 52 countries, and a five-day transit visa-free entry is available for citizens of 45 countries. These measures make travel as comfortable and accessible as possible.
The highest level of safety remains a crucial factor in Uzbekistan’s attractiveness. Traditions of tolerance and sincere hospitality are the foundation of the Uzbek people's culture, as confirmed by leading positions in global rankings. For instance, according to the “International SOS Risk Map”, country is classified as a “Low Risk” destination, placing it on par with developed European nations.
Other international indices also confirm the state's status as safe. In the “Numbeo Safety Index”, Uzbekistan ranked 25th out of 148 countries, demonstrating a consistently low crime rate. Notably, in the “Solo Female Travel Safety Index” and “Safety Perceptions Index”, the country took first place in the world, becoming the leader in safety for women traveling alone. Furthermore, “Gallup Global Law and Order Index” confirms the high level of trust that the population and guests have in law and order.
Publication “Target” notes that modern Uzbekistan offers tourists a unique combination: the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Great Silk Road, modern infrastructure, and an atmosphere of sincere openness.
