MOSCOW, October 18. /Dunyo IA/. The second session of the Russia-Uzbekistan Council of Regions, a key platform for advancing interregional cooperation between the two countries, will be held on October 21–22, 2025, in the Moscow Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Government of the Moscow Region.
The agenda for the session encompasses a comprehensive set of activities aimed at advancing Uzbek-Russian cooperation. The forum will feature a plenary session, meetings of the Russian-Uzbek and Uzbek-Russian Business Councils, as well as thematic panel discussions focusing on key areas of collaboration. These include prospects for e-commerce, industrial investment, coordination in transportation and logistics, the implementation of energy projects, and cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
At the conclusion of the second Council of Regions meeting, new avenues for cooperation are expected to be identified, with specific agreements to be signed between regional authorities and business entities from both countries. The forum will also outline strategies to overcome existing challenges in enhancing trade and economic ties.
It is worth recalling that the inaugural meeting of the Council of Regions took place on May 27, 2024, in Tashkent.
