ТАSHKENT, August 21. /Dunyo IA/.  At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 23-24^th, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, in accordance with the visit program, Tashkent will host high-level talks and the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The summit agenda includes the further deepening and expansion of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Particular attention will be given to increasing bilateral trade, strengthening cooperation between businesses and regions, effectively leveraging opportunities in the transport and transit sector and continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

Leaders will also exchange views on current international and regional policy issues and discuss cooperation within multilateral frameworks.

Following the talks, a substantial package of documents is expected to be signed, and a number of economic and humanitarian projects will be launched.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan is currently hosting the Forum of Regions of the two countries and other joint events.
