SEOUL, April 30. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held between the Financial Director of ATTO, Uygun Kholjigitov, and the Vice President of the South Korean company “Tmoney”, Son Hae-yeong, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The purpose of the meeting was to study South Korea’s advanced experience in order to enhance the attractiveness of public transport in Uzbekistan and develop modern solutions in cashless payment systems.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the exchange of experience in the development of digital transport payment systems, the introduction of modern solutions in public transport, and the creation of a convenient payment infrastructure for passengers.

The possibilities of implementing direct contactless payments based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology using “Tagless” and “Be-In-Be-Out” models were also considered. These solutions allow passengers to pay for travel automatically and conveniently without using cards or terminals.

The introduction of differentiated tariffs in public transport, including buses and the metro, was also discussed in order to improve the efficiency of the transport system and optimize passenger flow distribution.

Participants emphasized the importance of introducing innovative technologies and their role in improving convenience for passengers.

An agreement was reached to further develop cooperation and expand mutually beneficial exchange of experience.

“Tmoney” is an electronic payment system used in public transport and retail in the Republic of Korea. The company managing the system was founded in 2003, and the system itself was introduced in 2004. In Seoul, most users rely on transport cards. On average, around 40 million transactions are carried out daily, amounting to approximately 17 million US dollars.
