“Al-Jumhuriya” Newspaper: Egypt sends a high-level delegation to the International Forum of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan

CAIRO, July 7. /Dunyo IA/. One of Egypt's leading newspapers, “Al-Jumhuria”, published an article titled “Egypt's high-level participation in the International Forum of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan”, dedicated to the First International Forum of Islamic Civilization, which takes place on July 7–11th in Tashkent, Samarkand and Termez, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the forum will bring together leading scientists, theologians, and representatives of government structures from Islamic countries to discuss matters of preserving Islamic heritage, developing religious education, countering modern challenges, and strengthening the values of moderation, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
It highlights that Egypt is represented at the forum by a high-level delegation, which includes Minister of Culture Gihane Zaki, Minister of Awqaf (Endowments) Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdelaziz Konsowa, Grand Mufti of Egypt Nazir Ayyad, as well as the heads of Al-Azhar University and other leading religious and academic institutions of the country.
The article quotes the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Egypt Mansurbek Kilichev, who noted that the forum would become an important international platform for developing dialogue between religious institutions, universities, and research centers, exchanging experience and formulating joint approaches to preserving Islamic cultural heritage and improving educational programs.
Publication also notes the progressive development of Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and Islamic studies. It emphasizes that the forum will create additional opportunities for expanding interaction between universities, research centers and religious institutions of the two countries, as well as for implementing joint projects and academic exchanges.
