DOHA, March 12. /Dunyo IA/.  Amid the ongoing tense situation in the Middle East, another group of Uzbek citizens, including tourists and students in Qatar, is being evacuated, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

On March 12, 49 Uzbek citizens travelled by bus from Doha to Sharjah, while another 12 compatriots were transported to Riyadh. According to the evacuation plan, they will fly to Tashkent via the international airports of these cities.

Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha is coordinating closely with the relevant authorities of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to ensure the safe and unhindered passage of citizens across borders. Diplomats accompanied the bus convoys to the Qatar border.

Evacuated citizens expressed sincere gratitude to the diplomatic missions and the public foundation “Vatandoshlar” for the practical assistance and the organization of a secure evacuation.

The final evacuation of remaining Uzbek tourists in Qatar via the United Arab Emirates is scheduled for March 13-14.
