Uzbek diplomats meet with compatriots working at a major infrastructure site in Kuwait

KUWAIT, April 22. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with compatriots working on the construction of the new terminal at Kuwait International Airport, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, negotiations were held with Soner Demirci, the Managing Manager of “Limak İnşaat”. During the conversation, company representatives highlighted the professionalism and responsible work ethic of Uzbek citizens, emphasizing that their discipline has fostered a favourable working atmosphere within the team.
According to available data, about 300 specialists from Uzbekistan were involved in various stages of this construction project. Currently, the majority of them have completed their labour contracts and returned home. As of today, about 70 compatriots continue to work in areas such as finishing, electrical, and plumbing works, the installation of glass structures and other activities.
Subsequently, the diplomats met with their compatriots. During the meeting, their working and living conditions were examined and clarifications were provided for all received questions and inquiries.
Citizens were also given consular and legal recommendations on the need for strict compliance with personal safety measures, taking into account the current regional situation, as well as unconditional adherence to the laws and established regulations of Kuwait.
Following the event, the company's management was proposed to establish a systematic recruitment of qualified labour from Uzbekistan, taking into account the interests of both parties, and to continue close cooperation with the Embassy in this direction. The Kuwaiti side expressed its readiness for further development of cooperation in the process of implementing new projects.
