TASHKENT, July 22. /Dunyo IA/.   Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the new Ambassador of Malaysia Rafeda Binti Abdul Aziz, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Pleased to receive the copies of the credentials of H.E. Rafeda Binti Abdul Aziz, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Discussed the prospects for further expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. Noted with satisfaction that, thanks to the active high-level dialogue in recent years, our bilateral relations have reached a qualitatively new level.

Particular attention was given to expanding trade and economic ties, deepening investment cooperation, and advancing new joint projects across a wide range of sectors.

Wished Ms. Ambassador every success in her diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and reaffirmed our readiness to provide every possible support in carrying out her important responsibilities”.

As a reminder, Rafedah binti Abdul Aziz succeeded Ambassador Ilham Tuah bin Illias, who had been heading the Malaysian diplomatic mission in Tashkent since 2023.

Rafedah binti Abdul Aziz has been working within the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia since 2002, holding responsible positions in the central apparatus and embassies abroad over various years. Since 2021, she served as the Deputy Chief of Mission in Egypt.
