TASHKENT, July 17. /Dunyo IA/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, today received Ambassador of Qatar, Hassan bin Hamza Hashim, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Received H.E. Hassan bin Hamza Hashim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. – Discussed ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar, as well as the consistent implementation of the agreements reached during high-level engagements.

Exchanged views on the prospects for expanding cooperation in trade and economy, investment, transport and logistics, energy, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian fields.

Also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral events and discussed current issues of cooperation within international organizations.

The Ambassador conveyed the sincere appreciation of the Qatari side for the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Doha following the passing of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Amir of the State of Qatar, and for his personal expression of condolences and sympathy”.
