WARSAW, October 7. /Dunyo IA/.   A special episode of the program “Question for Breakfast” (“Pytanie na śniadanie”) dedicated to the history, culture, and tourism potential of Uzbekistan was broadcast on the Polish television channel “TVP” with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Guests of the program were Iroda Pulatova-Gil and Polish journalist and travel program author Piotr Poraj-Poleski. During the conversation, they highlighted Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Karakalpakstan, as well as the rich cultural heritage of the country.

Special attention in the program was paid to tourist routes across Uzbekistan. In particular, the audience was introduced to the Chorsu Bazaar in Tashkent, the Registan Square in Samarkand, the historic centers of Bukhara and Khiva and the convenient opportunities to travel between these cities on high-speed trains.

A special segment of the program was dedicated to Uzbek cuisine. The hosts spoke about traditional dishes, emphasizing the rich diversity of the country's regional cuisine.

Program also noted that Uzbekistan seamlessly combines its ancient historical heritage with modern development. Viewers were introduced to new cultural spaces and museums, as well as the preservation of traditional crafts, including the handmade production of decorative mosaics.

Historical connection between Uzbekistan and Poland was touched upon separately. In particular, the segment highlighted the stay of General Anders' Army personnel and Polish citizens in Uzbekistan during World War II, noting that some families subsequently remained in the country.

The creators of the program recommended visiting Uzbekistan in the spring or autumn, when weather conditions are most comfortable for travel. Karakalpakstan and its capital, Nukus, were presented as a distinct and compelling travel destination.

In conclusion, Uzbekistan was portrayed as a country where historical heritage, culture, national cuisine, crafts and hospitality come together to form a highly attractive tourist destination for Polish travellers.
