Representatives of Uzbekistan attend medical tourism session at “Technoprom-2026” Forum

NOVOSIBIRSK, August 29. /Dunyo IA/. During the XIII International Forum of Technological Development “Technoprom-2026”, Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov, attended a panel session dedicated to the development of medical tourism within the CIS countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was also attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region, as well as leading tour operators of the region.
As noted by Consul General Aslam Akbarov, one of the significant outcomes of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Novosibirsk Region in the field of medical tourism was the hosting of the historic first “International Medical Tourism Forum” in Tashkent on August 25–26th.
It was particularly emphasized that two Novosibirsk-based clinics have already announced concrete steps to expand their presence in Uzbekistan: “Zdravitsa” network of family medicine centers and “Dr.Puzyrevsky Ophthalmology Clinic”.
According to Dmitry Grishunin, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the Novosibirsk Region, Ministry remains prepared to provide further active assistance to Novosibirsk-based private medical clinics. This support aims not only at establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with corresponding clinics in Uzbekistan but also at identifying potential partners in coordination with the Consulate General.
During the subsequent discussion, the panel session participants highlighted the particular demand for this sector among the residents of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region, given the high level of medical training of Uzbek specialists, including in the field of dentistry.
