“Orient” IA: Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its position as a regional hub for International Business Expansion

ASHGABAT, June 26. /Dunyo IA/.   Portal of the leading Turkmen news agency “Orient” has published an analytical article titled “Uzbekistan as an Operational hub for tech business: Figures, conditions and why it works”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Article emphasizes that relocating an operational office to another country is traditionally associated with stress and risks - such as changing jurisdictions, the necessity of adapting to new regulations, and the potential loss of control over business processes. However, as noted in the publication, Uzbekistan largely mitigates these barriers. More than 1,000 technology companies have already chosen the country for relocation and business growth, which is attributed to a combination of a transparent business environment, a familiar corporate culture and advanced institutional support.

Special attention is dedicated to the role of “IT Park Uzbekistan”, which provides comprehensive, end-to-end support for companies - ranging from initial registration to the provision of ready-to-use operational infrastructure. Through the “One-Stop-Shop” system, businesses can efficiently register a legal entity, open bank accounts and resolve core administrative matters without the need to navigate multiple government agencies. Furthermore, “Softlanding” program assists relocating teams and their families with housing, documentation and social adaptation, thereby accelerating the process of integration into the new environment.

A significant element of business support is the “Zero Risk” program, under which companies receive fully equipped office spaces furnished with necessary furniture and technology, alongside partial compensation for employee hiring and training expenditures and up to 15% of the payroll fund. This framework enables technology enterprises to launch their operations with virtually no initial operational overheads and achieve working capacity at an accelerated pace.

Introduction of a three-year IT visa designed for technology founders, investors and specialists is explicitly highlighted. It grants the right to reside and work in the country, provides access to healthcare and educational services on an equal footing with citizens, and offers the opportunity to purchase real estate without restrictions. According to the authors' assessment, these conditions render Uzbekistan highly attractive not only for corporations but also for individual specialists and their families.

Publication also underscores that Uzbekistan is progressively strengthening its position as a regional base for international business growth. The country is becoming a premier platform for the development of the BPO sector, the opening of regional headquarters, and the establishment of delivery centers oriented toward the markets of Europe, Asia, the CIS and the United States. Its strategic geographic position between European and Asian markets is viewed as an additional competitive advantage.

As noted in the analytical feature by “Orient”, Uzbekistan is emerging today not merely as a site for the relocation of technology enterprises, but as a fully-fledged ecosystem facilitating the development and scaling of businesses with international ambitions.
