ATYRAU, February 27. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation ceremony was held in the Kazakh city of Atyrau to mark the launch of a new flight on the “Tashkent - Atyrau” route, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of the Atyrau Regional Akimat, management of the international airport, local business leaders, as well as more than 60 leading travel agencies and hotels.

The main focus of the presentation was the launch of direct flights on “Tashkent – Atyrau – Tashkent” route, scheduled for the first time on March 30 and April 3 of this year. According to experts, this air service will provide residents of western Kazakhstan with the most convenient and efficient opportunity to travel to the historic cities of Uzbekistan.

Representatives from “Uzbekistan Airways” and “Asialuxe Travel” provided detailed information to attendees on special tourism packages for Uzbekistan, opportunities for medical tourism and transit travel options.

Particular attention was given to Uzbekistan’s gastronomic tourism potential, which is gaining recognition at the international level. Participants were also briefed on large-scale cultural and tourism events planned in connection with the inaugural flights.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the tourism sectors from both countries agreed to further expand cooperation, systematically increase tourist flows and implement joint tourism initiatives.
