Uzbekistan and India accelerate preparations for 14th Intergovernmental Commission Meeting in Tashkent

NEW DELHI, June 13. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Sardor Rustambaev, held a meeting with Mohit Yadav, Joint Secretary. Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The sides discussed issues related to the practical preparations for upcoming joint events.
The main focus was on the 14th meeting of the Uzbekistan–India Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled to take place on June 18 in Tashkent. It was noted that both sides are maintaining close cooperation and coordinating all organizational matters.
Special attention was also given to the active participation of a high-level Indian delegation in the upcoming 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum and the Uzbekistan–India Business Forum.
Mohit Yadav highly appreciated the role of the upcoming joint events as an important mechanism for strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries. An agreement was reached to expand the composition of the Indian delegation to include representatives from digital technologies, agriculture, energy, education, textiles, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics sectors.
Embassy of Uzbekistan put forward an initiative to expand the participation of Uzbek businesses in major investment and business events in India in order to promote the country’s export potential. The Indian side warmly supported this proposal and expressed interest in its practical implementation.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to ensure a high level of organization of the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the business forum and other bilateral events in Tashkent.
