Prospects for expanding investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, September 9. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with Minister of Investment of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the talks, parties discussed issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, expanding the scope of investment cooperation, as. well as implementing promising joint projects.
The sides noted with satisfaction the consistent development of trade, economic, and investment ties between the two countries in recent years. The existence of significant opportunities for broader attraction of leading UAE companies and investment institutions into priority sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan was highly emphasized.
Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi expressed interest in elevating the strategic partnership between the two countries to a new level, including through the implementation of large-scale and long-term investment projects in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed opportunities for expanding cooperation in agriculture and the food industry, modern urban development and infrastructure, energy, the mining sector, high-tech industries, and other promising areas.
Furthermore, agreements were reached to intensify direct contacts with leading UAE companies and investment structures, jointly develop promising investment projects and promote mutually beneficial initiatives.
Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on continuing high-level reciprocal visits and organizing joint events aimed at further expanding direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
The sides reaffirmed their readiness to effectively utilize the existing potential of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE and to enrich investment cooperation with new practical substance.
