SEATTLE, July 28. /Dunyo IA/. Three people were killed and five others were injured, including a two-year-old child, as a result of a shooting carried out by unidentified individuals at the annual city food festival “The Bite of Seattle” in Seattle, Washington, the United States, at around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to police, at least two groups opened fire at each other on the grounds of the “Seattle Center” complex. The incident is preliminarily linked to gang activity. Among the three people killed were a 19-year-old man who was reportedly one of the shooters, a 44-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman. According to Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson, a 15-year-old teenager has been taken into custody on suspicion of involvement in the attack, while another suspect remains at large.

As the moment of the shooting was not captured on camera, police appealed to eyewitnesses to share any information they may have. Washington Governor Bob Ferguson expressed condolences to the families of those killed and voiced support for emergency services working at the scene.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Seattle, no citizens of Uzbekistan are among those killed or injured.
