Launch of Uzbek-Hungarian Scientific and Innovation Technopark marks strengthened cooperation

BUDAPEST, March 12. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Péter Galambos, Vice-Rector for Innovation at Óbuda University and Antal Német, Rector's representative of the university, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Hungarian side reported that as part of the visit of a delegation from 19 Hungarian universities to Uzbekistan and the III Uzbek-Hungarian Rectors' Forum, a grand opening ceremony for the Uzbek-Hungarian Scientific and Innovative Technopark – “Jizzakh INNO” science park was held in Jizzakh on March 6.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Khokimiyat (administration) of the Jizzakh region, as well as representatives from several Hungarian and Uzbek universities, industrial companies, startups and the business communities of both countries. The project was implemented with the support of Óbuda University (Hungary), which played a key role in forming the academic and innovative partnership within this initiative.
The establishment of the technopark is a major step toward strengthening Uzbekistan's innovation ecosystem and further developing Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation in higher education, science and technology. The initiative aims to enhance the practical results of scientific research at Uzbek universities, foster close interaction between the academic community and industry and create favorable conditions for the commercialization of jointly developed technologies and products in international markets.
In addition to its role as a research and innovation hub, technopark will function as a dynamic platform for collaboration among scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and investors, enabling the transformation of scientific ideas into market solutions. It will also foster the growth of startups and technology enterprises, support knowledge transfer and provide training for highly qualified specialists capable of making significant contributions to the country's economic modernization.
During the ceremony, representatives from the Hungarian side emphasized that Uzbek partners will be able to actively participate in the technopark's activities. This cooperation may include investment in innovative projects, the exchange of academic expertise, the training and recruitment of skilled personnel, as well as other forms of scientific, technological and industrial interaction. Hungarian universities and research institutes expressed a particular interest in expanding joint scientific initiatives, student exchanges and innovation-oriented partnerships with Uzbek higher education institutions.
It should be noted that the opening of the Scientific and Innovative Technopark in Jizzakh has become a symbol of the growing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary in the fields of education, science and innovation. It reflects the shared commitment of both nations to developing links between knowledge, technology and industry for the benefit of future generations.
