35th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan celebrated festively in German Cities of Mainz and Fürth

MAINZ-FÜRTH, September 12. /Dunyo IA/.  Festive events dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan were held in the German cities of Mainz and Fürth, organized with the participation of the Consulate General of our country in Frankfurt am Main, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Events were organized jointly with the Uzbek-German Cultural Association “Doppi” in Mainz and the Uzbek Culture and Friendship Association “Umid” in Fürth. They were attended by over 700 compatriots from various cities across Germany, as well as representatives of local authorities and other nationalities.

Consul General of Uzbekistan, Miranshoh Raupov, congratulated the participants on the anniversary of independence and emphasized the importance of maintaining cultural ties between compatriots and their historical homeland.

In Fürth, the Mayor of the city, Thomas Jung, delivered a congratulatory speech, wishing the citizens of Uzbekistan prosperity, success, and peace. His participation underscored the friendly relations between the city administration and the Uzbek community.

As part of the celebrations, performances by the children of compatriots, an exhibition of national products and traditional applied arts, a chess championship, sports competitions and national games were held.

Events concluded with a concert program featuring the performance of Uzbek folk songs and musical compositions in the traditions of Maqom art, alongside a presentation of national dishes.
