Diplomats of Uzbekistan Meet with Compatriots in Busan

BUSAN, February 17. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with compatriots living, working, and studying in South Korea at Dong-A University in the city of Busan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Abdusalomov spoke about the activities of the Embassy and its priority areas of work, emphasizing that engagement with compatriots abroad is reaching a new level.
He noted that, alongside efforts in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural spheres, special attention is being given to strengthening cooperation with Uzbek citizens living overseas.
Participants received detailed information about the goals and objectives of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, as well as its open and pragmatic foreign policy. Specific answers were provided to questions raised by attendees.
The discussion also covered grant programs for students studying on a tuition-contract basis, opportunities for researchers and specialists in new technologies, the importance of teaching the Uzbek language, culture, and history to the children of compatriots abroad, and ensuring transparency in consular services.
Participants expressed their gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions and taking measures to support the country’s youth in becoming highly qualified specialists abroad.
