Uzbek-Chinese robotics and AI projects to be launched at Tashkent school

SHANGHAI, March 26. /Dunyo IA/. The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Rustam Ismailov, met with Matthew Chow, Director of Global Business at the Chinese company WhalesBot, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and implementing joint projects in the field of modern technologies. The Chinese side noted the significance of the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in information technology and artificial intelligence, emphasizing that the country has substantial potential to assume a regional leadership role in these areas.
During the negotiations, both parties expressed readiness to implement a pilot project at one of Tashkent’s schools aimed at developing students’ skills in robotics and artificial intelligence, with provision of the necessary equipment.
The meeting also highlighted interest in establishing a specialized educational hub for robotics and artificial intelligence in Uzbekistan in cooperation with relevant ministries. The center will be focused on the development of STEM education.
Additionally, WhalesBot invited Uzbek students to participate in international robotics and AI competitions to be held in Beijing. The program will include educational activities, experience exchange, and visits to relevant institutions. The Uzbek side was invited to explore cooperation with the relevant authorities and establish further working contacts.
