A minor citizen of Uzbekistan detained by authorities returns from Moscow to his homeland

MOSCOW, March 16. /Dunyo IA/. A citizen of our country contacted the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, requesting assistance regarding the detention of his minor relative and the child's subsequent placement in one of the social rehabilitation centers for minors in the Russian capital, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Representatives of the Consular Section promptly responded to the appeal. A staff member was immediately dispatched to interact with the facility's administration and the relevant Russian authorities to provide necessary assistance in resolving the issue and organizing the minor's return home.

Thanks to the measures taken and coordination with the respective agencies, the child was handed over to a trusted family representative and safely repatriated on March 12.

Embassy of Uzbekistan continues to pay special attention to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its citizens, including minors, residing in Russia.

In this regard, Embassy urges citizens in Russia to pay close attention to the safety and proper supervision of minors, not to leave them unaccompanied by adults, and to promptly contact the Embassy or consular offices in case of difficult life situations.
