Uzbekistan Diplomats successfully trained at diplomatic academy of Oman to enhance foreign service expertise

• 95MUSCAT, February 16. /Dunyo IA/. The Diplomatic Academy of Oman organized short-term training courses for diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of the program, the Uzbek delegation participated in meetings and training sessions with representatives of the Diplomatic Academy of Oman, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of Central Asia and the Oman Investment Agency.
The lectures provided a detailed overview of the Sultanate’s foreign policy, built on principles of dialogue, mutual respect and tolerance. Special attention was given to Oman’s efforts to facilitate the resolution of international and regional issues, foster an atmosphere of trust and solidarity among states in the region, and implement its development strategy “Oman Vision - 2040”. A dedicated segment focused on the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Omani relations.
In turn, the representatives of Uzbekistan delivered a presentation to the staff of the Diplomatic Academy and the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on “Foreign Policy of the New Uzbekistan”. During the session, the Omani side was informed about Uzbekistan’s foreign policy, based on openness, pragmatism, and proactive initiatives aimed at strengthening good-neighborly relations in Central Asia, expanding international cooperation and protecting the country’s economic interests.
At the conclusion of the training program, the Uzbek diplomats were awarded certificates of successful completion.
During the visit, the delegation also toured the sights of Muscat and visited the ancient city of Nizwa.
The Omani side emphasized that it views Uzbekistan as a dynamically developing country with high potential, steadily strengthening its position in the Central Asian region.
The leadership of the Diplomatic Academy expressed interest in continuing the practice of organizing such educational programs and further developing bilateral cooperation.
