Uzbekistan and France to expand cooperation in social protection

PARIS, March 5. /Dunyo IA/. An online meeting was held between representatives of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan and Secretariat of the Interministerial Committee on Disability under the Prime Minister of France, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on strengthening social protection for persons with disabilities, expanding employment opportunities, and increasing access to education. The discussion also focused on the importance of sharing best practices between Uzbekistan and France in this area.

In addition, participants addressed issues related to integrating socially vulnerable citizens into the labour market, as well as improving legislative and institutional mechanisms in the field of social protection.

The French side expressed readiness to develop close cooperation in this direction and to actively participate in the implementation of joint initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue regular expert-level consultations, work toward the development of a Memorandum of Understanding and organize reciprocal visits to facilitate practical exchanges of experience.
