NOVOSIBIRSK, November 26. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk participated in a meeting hosted by Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of Omsk Region, with staff from foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices in Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Vitaly Khotsenko highlighted that regular communication with diplomatic and consular missions plays a key role in developing the region’s export potential, strengthening economic ties, and implementing joint projects. In this context, he noted that the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements between Omsk Region and the regions of Bukhara, Navoi, and Tashkent represents a significant step forward in fostering mutual efforts.
The opening of the "Frut Siti" wholesale distribution center in April this year has played a notable role in strengthening interregional cooperation. Direct deliveries of fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan help increase the volume of Uzbek agricultural goods available to consumers in this region of the Russian Federation while maintaining high quality standards.
According to last year’s results, the volume of trade between Omsk Region and the Republic of Uzbekistan increased by more than 40 percent. In the first half of the current year, growth reached 85 percent.
