Negotiations on Expanding Uzbek-German Financial and Trade Cooperation Held in Frankfurt am Main

A delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry under the Cabinet of Ministers, paid a working visit to European countries, during which a series of meetings was held aimed at developing financial cooperation and expanding the export potential of the industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
In particular, negotiations were held with Michael Stopfkuchen, Director of Export Finance at AKA Bank, during which the parties discussed the introduction of direct financing mechanisms for light industry enterprises in Uzbekistan, as well as the attraction of preferential credit lines for purchasing modern technological equipment from European Union countries.
Furthermore, a meeting was held with Ekaterina Galitsina, Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at “KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH”, a subsidiary of “KfW Group”. The parties exchanged views on financing investment projects for light industry enterprises in Uzbekistan, supporting export activities, and prospects for cooperation with financial institutions in Germany and other European countries.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting also took place with Ilyas Güçlü, Head of the Trade House of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main. During the negotiations, the sides reviewed issues concerning the establishment of cooperation with major importing companies operating in Frankfurt, the expansion of Uzbek product promotion on the German market, and the organization of B2B meetings between domestic manufacturers and German textile importers.
A representative of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main also participated in the events.
