WARSAW, August 21. /Dunyo IA/. Prominent Polish politician and Professor of Economics Bogusław Marian Liberadzki, ahead of the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan, conveyed through Dunyo IA his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan:
- I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the leadership of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the implementation of the large-scale “New Uzbekistan” strategy.
This reform has become the embodiment of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy. The achievements of the past decade confirm the validity of the set goals, the appeal of this concept to citizens and the high efficiency of the republic’s authorities in implementing the sustainable development program of the state.
Uzbekistan is a key nation holding vital economic and political significance for Central Asia; therefore, Tashkent's success is concurrently the success of the entire region.
Allow me to draw particular attention to one of the priority areas - the development of transport and logistics, especially in the context of the Eurasian Transport Corridor, encompassing rail, road and multimodal transport.
I had the honour of hosting a representative delegation of Uzbek transport sector specialists at the European Parliament. We highly appreciated the projects and initiatives of Uzbekistan aimed at enhancing the country’s transport connectivity with the European Union, including Poland, as well as with Asian countries via the territory of Uzbekistan. Exports of logistics services are becoming a key component of the national economy.
“Green” transformation, digitalization and information technologies today serve as symbols of modernity, sustainable growth, as well as trust and stability in international relations.
Uzbekistan’s young population represents both a tremendous resource and a serious challenge. I am proud that around 2,000 Uzbek students are currently studying in Poland, compared with just 280 ten years ago. The objectives of the reforms most effectively respond to the interests of the younger generation. Attractive employment opportunities are opening up for young specialists in high value-added sectors, the electronic services sector, IT, the economy and a society that is open to the world. The modernization of the country and its well-educated youth are creating enormous potential for further development.
I would once again like to congratulate the leadership of Uzbekistan on its bold yet well-considered programme of transformations, which sets the main directions of economic development and foreign policy priorities. The country continues to strengthen trust in its relations with the European Union, as evidenced by the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, as well as the dynamic development of bilateral ties with Poland, underpinned by ministerial visits and the signing of new agreements.
I wish for these large-scale transformations to continue delivering tangible results, contributing to the well-being of citizens and the prosperity of the state.
May the people of the Republic always take pride in their homeland, whose significance and influence on the international stage continue to grow steadily.
I hope that the positive outcomes of the reforms will continue to accumulate and become even more evident in relations with the countries of Asia and the European Union, particularly Poland. Our economies are complementary: we cooperate and enrich each other to a greater extent than we compete.
I look forward to further strengthening cooperation in transport and logistics, which will contribute to systematically enhancing infrastructure connectivity between Europe and Asia.
I also hope to have the opportunity to visit Uzbekistan in person to gain a closer insight into its rich culture and history.
Please accept my deepest respect and best wishes to Uzbekistan and its people.
