MUNICH, May 13. /Dunyo IA/.  Diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main held a presentation on our country's tourism potential, with the participation of staff and students from leading German universities, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by professors, researchers, and students from the universities of Munich, Würzburg, Mannheim, Marburg, Frankfurt and Aachen. All participants are fellows of the “Hanns Seidel Foundation” (HSS), which is one of the leading German foundations in the field of education and politics.

HSS is a German political and educational organization founded in 1966 in Munich, associated with the Christian Social Union (CSU). Over its more than half-century history, the foundation has actively participated in international projects aimed at promoting democracy and sustainable development in more than 75 countries worldwide.

Within the framework of the event, staff from the Consulate General delivered a lecture dedicated to the rich history, tourism potential and modern image of Uzbekistan. Special attention was paid to the chronological development of the country since gaining independence, the large-scale reforms initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the core concepts of New Uzbekistan.

A presentation titled “Uzbekistan in the Modern World” was demonstrated, which placed special emphasis on the richness of the historical and cultural heritage of ancient Transoxiana and the Temurid era.

The concluding part of the event was dedicated to questions from international students regarding the foreign policy priorities of modern Uzbekistan, the country's achievements on the international stage, as well as the reasons and factors behind GDP growth in recent years, which generated active interest among the participants.

At the conclusion of the event, a coffee break was organized for the guests, during which they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the rich Uzbek literary heritage, paintings, and brochures dedicated to history and tourism, as well as to experience samples of traditional craftsmanship.

The event was held in an atmosphere of sincere interest and enthusiasm among the participants, who noted the fundamental shift in the perception of Uzbekistan as a modern, dynamically developing state opening new horizons for cooperation and cultural exchange.
