DEHLI, January 11. /Dunyo IA/. Vivid video clips, capturing the mesmerizing landscapes of ancient architecture, colorful bazaars, and the hospitable streets of Uzbek cities, can now be seen on large LED screens in the very heart of India’s major metropolises, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of an information campaign organized by our country’s Embassy in India, a promotional marathon is taking place in January across central squares, business and shopping centers, and bustling streets of Delhi, Mumbai, and Gurgaon, inviting people to embark on a journey through sunny Uzbekistan.
The ties between the two countries grow stronger with each passing year. In particular, the number of flights between Uzbekistan and India has reached 17, connecting the cities of Tashkent, Delhi, Mumbai, and the state of Goa.
Today, Uzbekistan is becoming one of the popular and easily accessible destinations for Indian travellers.
In 2025, the extensive promotional campaign reached not only the capital but also Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, other Indian cities, and the famous resort state of Goa.
During the “roadshows,” seminars, and meetings organized by our Embassy, information was shared about the large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector: how modern infrastructure is being developed, service standards improved, and new unique routes opened for foreign visitors.
The videos now seen by residents and visitors of India’s bustling megacities are already making an impact - interest in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and other gems of the Great Silk Road is growing rapidly. The results are clear: just last year, over 80,000 Indian tourists discovered hospitable and stunningly beautiful Uzbekistan. In the New Year, this number is expected to grow even further.
