Uralsk hosts presentation of new flight route to Tashkent and emerging tourism opportunities

URALSK, March 10. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism opportunities was held in the Kazakh city of Uralsk in connection with the launch of a new direct flight on the Uralsk - Tashkent route, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Consulate General in Aktau, Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and the airline “Centrum Air”.
Participants included representatives of travel companies, hotels, local business community, Uralsk International Airport and government authorities.
During the presentation, attendees were provided detailed information on Uzbekistan’s tourist packages, including medical tourism, group tours and transit tours, as well as direct flights to Tashkent. It was emphasized that the new air route will greatly simplify travel for tourists from western Kazakhstan and stimulate tourist flow between the two countries.
The program also highlighted ongoing tourism projects and reforms in Uzbekistan, including major initiatives implemented under the guidance of the country’s leadership. Special attention was given to the creation of “Night tourist streets” in Tashkent for visitors to the capital.
The presentation noted the growing interest in Uzbekistan from Kazakh travel companies and the general public, as reflected in the rising volume of airline ticket sales. Plans were also shared for celebratory tourism events timed with the inaugural flights on March 23 and 25.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation, implement joint tourism initiatives and exchange experience to enhance Uzbekistan’s appeal among Kazakh tourists.
