First International Freight Train of 2026 departs from China to Uzbekistan, enhancing Eurasian trade links

TASHKENT, January 5. /Dunyo IA/. An international special freight train carrying 1,300 tonnes of high-quality coal coke departed yesterday from Wuwei city, Gansu Province, bound for Ablik railway station in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to “Xinhua” News Agency, this is the first international freight special train to depart from Gansu Province in the new year.
The Chinese news agency China News Service (Zhongguo Xinwen She) reports that the total value of the coal coke transported by the train is 4.06 million yuan (approximately 580,000 USD). The train is expected to arrive at its destination in Uzbekistan in about nine days.
Cao Ke, head of the Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center, stated that in recent years the center has continued to expand its international logistics network, establishing six major logistics corridors connecting, among other destinations, Central Asia and Central Europe.
“The launch of this new route once again opens a stable and convenient international logistics channel, facilitating the efficient distribution of products ‘Made in Gansu’ and even Chinese goods across the Central Asian market”, - Cao Ke added.
