“El Mundo Financiero”: Uzbekistan signs contract to export dried fruits, legumes, nuts and other food products to Spain following business forum

MADRID, March 6. /Dunyo IA/. An article has been published on the popular Spanish portal “El Mundo Financiero” covering the recently held Uzbekistan-Spain Business Forum in Madrid, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication emphasizes that the forum served as an important platform to showcase Uzbekistan’s investment and export potential, as well as to develop bilateral cooperation between the business communities of both countries.

According to the article, more than 110 representatives from leading companies and organizations of Spain and Uzbekistan participated in the event. The forum was opened by Farrukh Tursunov, who highlighted the importance of strengthening trade, economic and investment ties. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by representatives of Spanish government bodies and the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, expressing the interest of Spanish businesses in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The article details the forum’s business program, which included presentations on Uzbekistan’s investment and industrial opportunities, reforms to improve the business climate and the development of industrial zones. Particular attention was given to opportunities in the regions of Samarkand, Tashkent and Andijan, as well as the country’s agro-industrial potential, presented by the Uzbek delegation both in-person and online.

The article notes the active participation of Spanish companies in presenting their initiatives. In particular, “Almar Water Solutions” presented a water treatment plant project, “New Greenhouses Projects S.L.” showcased a high-tech greenhouse project and “Enhol Grupo” discussed prospects for cooperation in energy and sustainable development. Representatives from banking, energy, agriculture, transport and environmental sectors, interested in investment projects in Uzbekistan, also took part in the forum.

Following the forum, B2B negotiations were conducted, four cooperation agreements were signed and an export contract was concluded for the supply of dried fruits, legumes, nuts, and other food products to Spain. “El Mundo Financiero” notes that the event marked an important step in further strengthening investment partnerships and expanding trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Spain.
