Embassy of Uzbekistan in New Delhi hosts celebration of national Constitution Day

NEW DELHI, December 10. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in India hosted a distinguished event commemorating a landmark occasion - the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Participants at the event unanimously underscored the profound and historic role of Uzbekistan’s Constitution in the establishment of a sovereign state. They highlighted that the Constitution serves as a solid legal foundation for comprehensive societal democratization and ensures sustainable socio-economic development.
Special attention was given to the dynamic processes of modernization undertaken in recent years. The audience noted the keen interest of the international community, including India, in the extensive reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at building a New Uzbekistan.
The event emphasized that the protection of human honor and dignity remains a top priority of state policy in Uzbekistan.
The proceedings were further enriched by the presence of Uzbekistan’s delegation, currently participating in the 20th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in New Delhi.
The delegation’s presence highlighted the inseparable connection between the country’s political and legal development and its rich cultural traditions. Participants exchanged views on the importance of preserving Uzbekistan’s invaluable heritage, many elements of which are inscribed on various UNESCO lists.
