Bilateral parliamentary ties between Uzbekistan and Slovakia enter a new phase

BRATISLAVA, December 11. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovakia, with residence in Vienna, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, has met with Richard Raši, National Council of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, in Bratislava, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the talks, the sides reviewed the current state of Uzbekistan-Slovakia relations and outlined prospects for further cooperation, with particular focus on the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue.
The Slovak side noted that bilateral relations have advanced steadily in recent years, gaining strong positive momentum. It was emphasized that high-level and top-level visits conducted this year have elevated the political dialogue to an entirely new stage, bringing the relationship to the level of a strategic partnership.
Richard Raši, recalling his visit to Uzbekistan as part of a Slovak parliamentary delegation in April 2023, noted that he had personally witnessed the far-reaching reforms, social and economic transformation, and innovations in public administration being implemented under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on establishing parliamentary friendship groups to advance inter-parliamentary cooperation and on organizing mutual visits.
At the conclusion of the talks, both parties agreed to further strengthen Uzbekistan-Slovakia inter-parliamentary cooperation in a consistent and results-oriented manner, to maintain an active and ongoing dialogue, and to hold future meetings between the relevant parliamentary committees.
