- Pakistan and Uzbekistan have signed a wide range of agreements and memoranda of understanding across multiple sectors - from economics and culture to science and technology. Our bilateral ties are developing dynamically, and direct communication between the leaders of our two countries continues to give this partnership a powerful momentum.

I sincerely hope that the growing interdependence and coordination between our states will foster multisectoral progress - in energy, the economy, science, education, healthcare and business.

Regarding your question about regional connectivity with Uzbekistan through Afghanistan and further towards the Persian Gulf and our ports in Karachi and Gwadar, this vision is indeed highly promising. Unfortunately, Afghanistan has remained destabilized for almost half a century due to successive conflicts. I want to emphasize that we wish to see Afghanistan as a peaceful, stable state that maintains friendly relations with all its neighbours, including Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

We regularly receive up-to-date information about the reforms and innovations taking place in Uzbekistan through the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad. Yet we are keen to expand our engagement with the Uzbek media by establishing cooperation not only with state broadcasters, but also with Pakistan’s numerous private media outlets - radio, television and digital platforms. This would allow the people of Pakistan to gain a deeper understanding of developments in Uzbekistan. Additionally, the exchange of films, cultural projects, television programmes and music would help build strong humanitarian bridges between our nations.
