VOLOGDA, April 25. /Dunyo IA/. As part of a visit to Russia’s Vologda region, a delegation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan led by Ambassador Botirjon Asadov held meetings with Uzbek students studying at higher educational institutions in the region, as well as with representatives of the Uzbek diaspora, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, issues related to the conditions of study, accommodation, and social adaptation of compatriots were discussed.

The visit also included talks with representatives of Vologda State University, Cherepovets State University, and the Vologda State Dairy Farming Academy named after N.V.Vereshchagin.

In addition, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Vologda Region between the Ambassador and representatives of the regional business community.

The discussions focused on the current state and prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as opportunities to expand direct contacts between business circles of the regions of Uzbekistan and the Vologda region.
