BUDAPEST, December 4. /Dunyo IA/. During an official visit to Budapest, Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, held a high-level meeting with Tamás Sulyok, President of the Hungary, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament, discussion highlighted that in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has intensified unprecedentedly and the friendly relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership.
It was emphasized that the shared historical, traditional, and cultural values linking the peoples of the two countries hold great significance for the advancement of intergovernmental relations.
The parties also paid particular attention to enhancing economic cooperation and further developing interregional and trade links between the business communities of both countries.
During the dialogue, it was noted that 2026 has been designated as the Year of Culture, Science, and Innovation between Uzbekistan and Hungary. In this context, the parties exchanged views on the organization of a series of major events in both countries.
In addition, parties exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the consistent development of inter-parliamentary relations and the implementation of agreements reached at the level of the Heads of our State.
