Uzbekistan and Pakistan to Develop Proposals to Deepen Bilateral Strategic Partnership

ISLAMABAD, February 4. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi in Islamabad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, as well as issues related to further development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture.

Tariq Fatemi acknowledged Uzbekistan’s historical significance in the region and its rich cultural heritage, and particularly emphasized the contribution of the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand to world civilization.

In the course of the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the schedule of visits at various levels and joint events planned for the current year. At the conclusion, an agreement was reached to develop and implement new practical proposals aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
