The Ambassador of Uzbekistan completes his diplomatic mission in the UK

LONDON, October 12. /IA "Dunyo"/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Said Rustamov, today met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, Lord Tariq Ahmad, reports a correspondent of the "Dunyo" information agency.

The current agenda of Uzbek-British cooperation and prospects for its further expansion were discussed at the meeting.
Tariq Ahmad highly appreciated the progressive dynamics of the bilateral dialogue, which has noticeably intensified and been filled with new content in recent years. In particular, an increased number of high-level mutual visits, close political and interparliamentary dialogue, and the deepening of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties were noted. The British side welcomed the constancy of the course of reforms and broad modernization in Uzbekistan, its pragmatic and responsible foreign policy, and stated its commitment to deepening multifaceted practical interaction with our country.
The Deputy Head of the British Foreign Office expressed gratitude to Said Rustamov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Great Britain, for his productive and creative contribution to the development of open, constructive and friendly relations between the two states and peoples.
Let us remind you that Said Rustamov took up his duties as Ambassador to the UK in October 2019. Before that, he headed the Embassy in Israel, a number of departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was deputy ambassador to the United States, and assistant minister.
