IZMIR, February 9. /Dunyo IA/.  Members of the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms and Owners of Household Lands of Uzbekistan took an active part in the prestigious “International Agriculture & Livestock Exhibition”, held in the Turkish city of Izmir, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The exhibition served as an important platform for showcasing modern technologies, innovative solutions and advanced agrotechnical practices in the fields of agriculture and livestock farming.

A delegation of 74 farmers from Uzbekistan took part in the exhibition in person, gaining first-hand exposure to cutting-edge agricultural technologies, high-performance equipment, seed production, irrigation systems, agrochemicals, digital agrotechnologies and advanced solutions in livestock farming. The visit provided Uzbek farmers with a valuable opportunity to enhance their practical knowledge and skills, while directly engaging with modern approaches being implemented across the sector.

Special attention during the exhibition was given to studying Turkey’s experience in grain and cotton production. Achievements made by Turkey in the use of water-saving technologies, high-yield crop varieties, advanced mechanization, the digitalization of agrotechnical processes and efforts to reduce production costs sparked strong interest among Uzbek farmers.

Practices such as drip irrigation, precision fertilization and farming based on soil analysis were examined in detail. In the field of grain production, participants explored high-yield and drought-resistant varieties, modern seed-drilling equipment, precision mineral fertilizer application systems and advanced harvesting machinery. The discussions focused on how the adoption of these practices could enhance soil productivity, reduce water and fertilizer consumption and significantly increase crop yields.

In the field of cotton production, participants examined advanced solutions related to drip irrigation, high-efficiency harvesting machinery, the optimization of agrotechnical processes and the creation of value-added products from raw cotton. It was noted that Turkey has succeeded in significantly reducing production costs through the adoption of water-efficient practices, enhanced mechanization, and the integrated organization of agro-services.

Within the framework of the exhibition, farmers engaged in direct discussions with foreign companies, agrotechnology manufacturers and service providers, addressing issues related to equipment supply, the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint projects in the future. Preliminary agreements were reached with several companies on launching pilot projects in Uzbekistan and introducing modern agrotechnologies.

Following the exhibition, members of the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan outlined plans to gradually introduce Turkey’s advanced agrotechnologies, organize knowledge-sharing seminars among farmers, expand cooperation with foreign companies and implement pilot initiatives aimed at modernizing the agricultural sector.
